posted Wednesday, November 19, 2008 8:18 AM
by Fritz Lawson, Jobing.com Community Relations - HOU

Yesterday I spoke to a group of job seekers in Southwest Houston about what to do to land that perfect job. More specifically, we discussed the interview process from the moment the call comes in through follow-up. The presentation lasted about 45 minutes and I can tell you, some in the audience made a huge impression on me... for better OR for worse. Your body language, including your facial expressions, are very powerful. Thinking back to yesterday, the folks I ... (Read More)

posted Tuesday, November 18, 2008 6:25 PM
by Brett Farmiloe, Pursue the Passion - Houston

Lucia asks: Where do you think a teen’s first job should be at or could be at? To answer this question, I would keep two things in mind. One is that your options for a job are only as limited as you allow them to be. In other words, if you think that the only job for a 16 year old ... (Read More)

by Olivia Bush, Bush Cares Project

We promised our Vets health care for the rest of their lives, now they are charged co-pays and face the threat of ... (Read More)

Different strokes for different folks

posted Monday, November 10, 2008 6:45 PM
by Pam Pruitt, All Nursing Home Health Services

Not everyone is technology savvy. Some folks still depend on pencils, paper and face to face meetings. Some folks want to save a tree and do all by email or phone.
